This picture was taken on my second trip to La Fortuna in Costa Rica, my second attempt to see this volcano.
Both attempts were failures – the volcano was covered in thick clouds the entire time.
Except when this picture was taken.
We stopped to get breakfast on the way out of town and the clouds parted directly over the volcano.
Sometimes I keep coming back to things. The first few times they don’t work, and then suddenly there’s an angle that catches me and I see a way forward. It just takes a different perspective and a few tries.
